Scrabble came to me from Avid & Crown Point Aussies in Colorado. I had the opportunity to meet her extended family the year before and knew I wanted to add Crown Point lines to my program. I was particularly fond of her sire, Ace, because he kept bringing me toys. I'm happy to report that Scrabble does the same thing, happy wiggle and all! She was the first puppy I've flown home and she handled the airport and plane ride with ease. She walked into my house like she'd always lived there and fit right in with the other dogs.

She was a confident, happy puppy who did everything with speed and enthusiasm. Unfortunately at just 16 weeks old Scrabble fractured her calcaneus (hock) in a freak accident. She required surgery to stabilize her hock with pins and wire. Scrabs handled surgery, her hospital stay, and the subsequent weekly cast changes like a champ! She never once hesitated to see her doctor's and always left with glowing praise. Other than the required rest and restriction Scrabble never let her injury slow her down. It's been a long road to full recovery but she hikes miles with me every week and has begun foundation stock and sport training.
