Milton

Milton was born 9/23/24 the product of an accidental breeding between two pet dogs. His mom is an Aussie and his dad is a Miniature American Shepherd. Milton was not well socialized as a young dog and finds the world outside of home pretty overwhelming. In July 2026 he was rehomed and then promptly escaped from his new home. He was terrified after being caught by animal control and returned to his new home. The new home was well meaning but not equipped to deal with a dog displaying signs of fear aggression. I saw a FB post asking for help and I picked up Milton the next day.

 

He gets along well with other dogs and takes cues from his confident dog friends. Milton will be getting training and socializing here at Telltale while he waits for his perfect home. He is fearful of new people and situations but he's curious and smart. He is able to make new human friends with slow intros. He prefers women over men. Milton's perfect home would have Aussie or herding breed experience, a confident dog friend, and the patience to continue his training. No kids under 14 (he is not overly worried about kids but a quieter home with less visitors / playdates would be best). He is cat safe, crate trained, good in the car, up to date on vaccines, and working on basic manners. He needs to be neutered and have an embark test done to screen for genetic disorders which we are working to get done. Contact Sam for more information about Milton.
